The North East Texas Community Development Corporation is a 501(c)(3) organization that exists to provide affordable housing for the communities we serve. In North East Texas the need for affordable housing outstrips the available units. In the communities where we operate there is a lack of housing for the working class that is decent, safe, sanitary and affordable. Since 1995 The NETCDC has owned and operated The Meadows, a 36 unit housing complex for low income families and families receiving Section 8 housing subsidies. NETCDC also owns and operates two additional properties, a beautiful duplex, which opened in June 2017, and a triplex, both of which lie within the Rockwall city limits.
NETCDC uses income generated from these properties, as well as grants from other agencies such as the USDA Office of Rural Development and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) to acquire property for the purpose of construction and rehabilitation of homes for working class families in Rockwall, Lamar, Collin, Hunt, Kaufman, Dallas, Delta, Red River and Fannin counties. All of our efforts are aimed to service the great need of working class families for affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing.

The NETCDC is a nonprofit organization, governed by a 15 member board of directors, of which 30 percent must be classified as low income by the Annual Median Family Income metric published by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
